The Low Voltage Tank Lighting System is a durable, robust, highly efficient temporary lighting system that is certified for safe use within ATEX/IECEx/UKEX Zone I, Zone 21, Zone II and Zone 22 potentially explosive atmospheres and, is NATO coded. Able to use within a T4 classification, the system comprises of a power supply enclosure providing the ability to utilise 4x 12V low voltage Pioneer LED lights to deliver an intense, 6000K, daylight-white output totalling 12000 lumens at source. The system offers a light source service life designed to give up to 100,000 hours and above.
The Pioneer LED utilises high efficiency LED drivers to deliver a safe, continuous output whilst providing a high level of illumination. The Pioneer LED is ideal for the set-up of temporary lighting installations on walkways, corridors, scaffolding, tents, tanks and vessels. The intrinsically safe circuits provide overcurrent, overvoltage, thermal and polarity protection. The power supply enclosure can be powered with 110Vac and 230Vac supplies at either 50 or 60 Hz with a small current draw of up to 0.4A per light. The voltage within the power supply enclosure is transformed down to supply each light with an extra low voltage of 12V. The power supply enclosure is supplied within a protective frame with a 15 metre length of cable with a Zone I EX plug (CEAG/STAHL/ATX) to suit the worksite or installation. Each Pioneer is provided with 20 metres of cable as standard, but can be extended to suit the lighting application required. The Pioneer LED comes supplied with a universal bracket for all of the mounting options, of which include: magnet, scaffold, wall and floor stand.
Built from high pressure, die-cast aluminium and specially coated, the power supply enclosure and the Pioneer LEDs are able to withstand the harsh, corrosive conditions expected in potentially hazardous environments. The Pioneer and power supply enclosure are both rated to IP66 and IP67 giving protection from the ingress of dust and powerful jets of water. The enclosures also protect the system from up to 1 metre of submersion in water. The 3mm thick copolymer lens on the Pioneer is impact resistant and can be provided with anti-static covers. The complete design and build is approved and certified by Intertek to the following standards: 60079-0:2018+A11:2024; 60079-7:2015+A1:2024; 60079-11:2024; 60079-18:2015+A1:2017; and 60079-31:2024.
For areas without a power supply such as the inside of tanks, or remote parts of a large shipyard, high output battery-powered lighting is essential to give full illumination to all areas for inspections, cleaning or painting. Where explosive gases or dusts might be present, your lights must be ATEX or IECEx.

Portable lights need to be easy to carry in one hand. Apart from being easier on the arms, it is also vital for health and safety that workers can hold onto a handrail while carrying a lamp in the other hand.
Every portable light in BME Nitech’s Guardian range weighs 9kg or less, making them one of the very lightest portable floodlights on the market.
Whether it’s painting, construction work or inspections, portable lights without any trailing cables are safer and can be placed precisely where you need them to highlight specific features.
A bright, daylight-balanced output and long battery life makes the lights easy to work with for the duration of a whole shift.
Our portable lights can operate safely in both zone I and zone II.
Uses are not confined to heavy industrial sites, however. A recent BME Nitech project involved the provision of portable lighting for a whisky distillery in Northern Scotland.
For larger areas such as construction sites and which need bright lighting to enable work to continue after darkness falls, our temporary floodlights, suitable for use in zones I and II, are ideal.
Because they include magnetic and clip mounts they can be attached to scaffolding, rails and walls or can use robust floor stands to be placed exactly where they are needed. The ability to link up to ten lights together from one power source enables you to illuminate a large work site with the minimum of dangerous cables and arrange the lights exactly where you need them the most.
ATEX and IECEx certified, our Pioneer LED floodlights are suitable for potentially explosive environments such as petrochemical plants and are used regularly by BAE and the MOD for major shipbuilding projects.

Portable lighting enables your team to work at night or in dark areas where there is no power supply. Using handheld lights removes any safety issues caused by trailing cables and lets you place lights exactly where you need them, such as remote work areas or confined spaces and tanks.
To maximise productivity, rechargeable, battery operated lights need to be able to last for a whole shift without loss of brightness. Look for a battery indicator to provide reassurance that the charge is sufficient for the current job.
Portable lights need to be lightweight enough that all staff can carry them in one hand while keeping the other hand on a handrail, complying with safety regulations and manual handling rules.
“We have found the range of equipment to be manufactured to the highest quality, such that the products withstand years of usage, often in the harshest of environments"
-Gavin CasperszEnsure that your work lights are impact tested so that they continue to operate after the inevitable knocks or drops that occur on a busy industrial site. Dust resistance and water resistance are also vital attributes if you want your floodlights to last.
The Aurora LED portable lights are available in small, medium and large sizes giving you the flexibility to work safely in a range of work area sizes.

Our best in class LED lights with an impressive 8,000 lumen output are perfect for large work area needing bright lighting all day and night. With a service life of up to 100,000 hours you know that this light will last and last.
The Aurora LED is an upgraded version of the original Aurora CFL light of which was trusted by industry leaders for over 30 years. The LED version allows the Aurora to deliver more light for a greater length of time whilst providing up to 10x more light source service life.
Temporary lights enable work to continue on site at all times of day and night throughout the year, so your night shift can operate in bright, daylight conditions.
By linking a number of lights together from one power supply you can illuminate a wide work area safely with the minimum of cables. Bespoke linking lets you arrange the lights exactly as you need them for your site and our experienced team can advise on the exact number of lights that you can connect from your power source. In many circumstances, between 10 and 20 floodlights can be safely linked.
An IP66/67 rated light head is completely dust and water tight, including withstanding powerful water jets and submersion in up to one metre of water. These lights are suitable for use in warehouses, yards, works sites and even washbays providing total peace of mind that the light won’t cut out despite rough treatment in busy, heavy industrial environments.
“We are really satisfied with the professionalism of the BME Nitech company. The quality of its products gives us the confidence to accept new challenges."
-Ignacio Arbeloa, Commercial DirectorA choice of mounting options gives the flexibility to use temporary lights in any size of area. Choose from clip mounting for scaffolding, stairs and walkways, magnets for mounting on equipment, wall mounts or floor stands for large areas without suitable walls.
