Portable LED Lights. Zone I/II hazardous area portable LED lights - Offshore Oil & Gas Industry

Overview

The client, BME Services, were undertaking a specialist coatings removal on the AUK Platform and required Zone I/II hazardous area portable LED lights to provide illumination to confined spaces and lay-down areas.

There was a lack of power supply for Zone I/II 110V temporary lights on the job, therefore portable rechargeable lights were required.

Challenge & Solution

BME Nitech were to provide illumination to a remote access area, without creating trip hazards taking into consideration the hazardous area requirements of the platform.

To provide the high illumination required, the Guardian Zone I/II LED portable rechargeable light was selected for the work scope. As the light’s weight is below manual handling recommendations, it was ideal for one-handed carry and transport between levels.

Result & Value to Client

The job was carried out successfully, incident-free and within the time allocated. The ease of the setting up the Zone I/II LED lights within the hazardous area contributed to an efficient set-up and clean-up of associated equipment.
